    • The closest train stations to Liechtenstein are Feldkirch in Austria or Buchs SG and Sargans in Switzerland
    • If arriving by train from Zurich, you need to catch the train to Sargans station
    • Once in Sargans, catch the no 11 bus (LIEmobil Bus) to Vaduz. The bus is yellow-green in colour and leaves approx every 20 mins

  • Tips:
    • Don’t forget to get your passport stamped with the Liechtenstein stamp at the Tourist Information Center in Vaduz (3.50 CHF) or in numerous souvenir shops
    • Vaduz Castle is permanently closed to visitors as the prince and his family live there. As such, no tours are conducted inside the castle. However, you can still walk there to take pictures of the outside. The walk takes around 20-30mins and is uphill. About halfway, there is a viewpoint to take spectacular photos of the principality
    • There is a city train that leaves at 1.00pm and 4.30pm from Vaduz Bus Station which journeys through the Old Town, stopping at the Red House – Vaduz’s oldest house and an ideal spot to take a picture of the panoramic view of Vaduz Castle
    • The cost for the city train is 10.50 CHF per person
    • The train is operational between April – September
