Visitors can pay fares on metro, train, bus, ferry and light rail services with an Opal card or Opal single ticket
There is no charge for an Opal card, but the minimum value is $10 for an adult card and $5 for a child/youth card.
At Sydney Airport stations, a minimum top up of $35 applies
Trams run between Central station and Dulwich Hill, stopping at Chinatown, Darling Harbour, the Star casino, Sydney Fish Market, Glebe and Leichhardt en route
Most of the city’s ferries operate between 6am-12am. The standard Opal card one-way fare for most harbour destinations is $6.01.
Ferries to Manly, Sydney Olympic Park and Parramatta cost $7.51
