- Buses go to Chichen Itza daily from Tulum (2hrs 20 mins) Cancun (3hrs) and Playa del Carmen (3hrs 20 mins).
- The ADO bus company offers services from its station from Cancun downtown to Chichén Itzá daily at 8:45am. A return bus departs at 4:30pm
- The buses arrive at the west entrance to the site
- Driving from Cancun takes around 2hrs 30mins and there is an option to take a non toll charge route

- Tips:
- There is a car park at the front of the site’s entrance which costs 30 pesos
- Chichen Itza is open daily from 8am- 5pm
- The site normally takes around 2-3 hours to complete, with the best times to visit either first thing in the morning when the site opens or around 2.30pm-3.00pm, as there are less crowds
- The fee to enter the park is 250 pesos for an adult
- Take water as although there are stalls around the ruins selling local crafts, we were unable to find a single stall selling liquid
